Assessment is evidence-based and assignment-based, requiring the learner to demonstrate occupational competence through appropriate workplace evidence and completed assignments. Evidence may include workplace observations, professional discussions, work products, site records, reports, photographs, witness testimonies and other relevant documentation.
Assessment is conducted on a Pass/Fail basis and is internally assessed and verified by centre staff, with external quality assurance provided by ProQual Verifiers to ensure compliance with qualification and industry standards. To achieve the qualification, the learner must successfully complete the required mandatory units and two optional units for the Highways Maintenance and Repair pathway.
