Qualification Structure

The ProQual Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Management (Construction) – Highways Maintenance and Repair is an Ofqual-regulated qualification awarded by ProQual Awarding Body and accredited on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). The qualification is endorsed by CITB, the sector body for construction, and published on Ofqual’s Register of Qualifications. The Highways Maintenance and Repair pathway has a Total Qualification Time (TQT) of 2,180 hours and Guided Learning Hours (GLH) of 857 hours.

Assessment is evidence-based and assignment-based, requiring the learner to demonstrate occupational competence through appropriate workplace evidence and completed assignments. Evidence may include workplace observations, professional discussions, work products, site records, reports, photographs, witness testimonies and other relevant documentation.

Assessment is conducted on a Pass/Fail basis and is internally assessed and verified by centre staff, with external quality assurance provided by ProQual Verifiers to ensure compliance with qualification and industry standards. To achieve the qualification, the learner must successfully complete the required mandatory units and two optional units for the Highways Maintenance and Repair pathway.
