It is accredited onto the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), with the specification approved by the Welsh Government for use by centres in Wales and by the Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) for centres in Northern Ireland. The qualification carries Ofqual qualification number 601/5380/5 and is set at Level 4, providing a recognised framework for advanced professional development.
With 60 hours of total qualification time and 50 guided learning hours, the qualification supports structured development in areas including human body systems, communication, equality and diversity, health and safety, partnership working, professional development and person-centred practice. Assessment is based on evidence demonstrating achievement of the required learning outcomes and assessment criteria, enabling the qualification to support both professional competence and career progression within health and social care environments.
The ProQual Level 4 Award in Advanced Healthcare and Social Care Support is an Ofqual-regulated qualification accredited on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). The qualification has a Total Qualification Time (TQT) of 60 hours and 50 Guided Learning Hours (GLH).
Assessment is assignment-based and conducted on a Pass/Fail basis. Assignments are internally assessed and verified by centre staff, with external quality assurance provided by ProQual Verifiers to ensure assessment and delivery meet the required quality standards.
To achieve the qualification, the learner must successfully achieve 6 credits from any combination of units.
