The ProQual Level 7 Diploma in Civil Engineering is a qualification awarded by ProQual AB, regulated by Ofqual and entered into the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). The qualification carries 120 credits, with a Total Qualification Time (TQT) of 1,200 hours and 600 Guided Learning Hours (GLH).
Assessment is assignment-based, enabling the learner to demonstrate advanced knowledge and understanding of civil engineering principles, project management, structural design, surveying, geotechnical engineering, sustainability, construction technology and risk management. The qualification is assessed on a Pass/Fail basis, with internal assessment and verification by centre staff and external verification by ProQual.
To achieve the qualification, the learner must successfully complete all ten mandatory units, covering advanced surveying and site investigation, structural design and analysis, estimation and costing, construction project management, BIM, sustainability, geotechnical engineering, construction law and regulation, health and safety, and advanced materials and construction technologies.
This qualification is not an NVQ, and completion does not make the learner eligible for a CSCS card.
