The qualification specification has been approved by the Welsh Government for use by centres in Wales and by the Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) for use by centres in Northern Ireland. To enrol in the ProQual Level 3 Certificate in Healthcare and Social Care Support Skills, learner should meet the following entry requirements:
- Minimum Age: 16 years.
- Educational Background : A Level 2 in care/health or GCSEs grade 4/C+ in English/maths.
- Work Experience: 6 months minimum in UK support roles (like care aide).
- Prior Knowledge: Level 2 basics: person-first care, protection, safety rules, vital checks, everyday help tasks.
