The ProQual Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Construction Contracting Operations is a UK-recognised qualification designed to develop occupational competence for professionals working across construction contracting and the wider built environment sector. The qualification is awarded by ProQual Awarding Body, regulated by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual), accredited on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), and published on Ofqual’s Register of Qualifications.

The qualification supports the development of practical knowledge and workplace competence across specialist areas of construction contracting operations, including Buying, Design Co-ordinating, Estimating, General, Planning, Site Technical Support, and Surveying. Depending on the selected pathway, the learner can develop relevant skills in construction procurement, tendering, estimating, project planning, technical support, surveying, materials management, plant and equipment, and construction operations.

Assessment is evidence-based and assignment-based, enabling the learner to demonstrate occupational competence through relevant assignments, workplace evidence, work products, assessor observations, professional discussions, witness testimonies, and other appropriate forms of evidence.

The qualification has a Total Qualification Time (TQT) of 920 hours and Guided Learning Hours (GLH) of 120–140 hours, depending on the optional unit selected. It provides a strong foundation for career development and progression within construction contracting, procurement, commercial operations, project support, and related construction roles.
