The ProQual Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Construction and Civil Engineering Operations (Construction) – Excavation and Reinstatement is a ProQual Awarding Body qualification accredited on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). The qualification is designed to develop and formally recognise occupational competence in excavation, ground reinstatement, work-area protection and related construction activities.
The qualification is assessed on a Pass/Fail basis through evidence-based and assignment-based assessment. Assessment evidence is internally assessed and verified by centre staff, with external quality assurance provided by ProQual to ensure that assessment decisions meet the required qualification and occupational standards.
To achieve the Excavation and Reinstatement pathway, the learner must successfully complete five mandatory units and one optional unit from the specified optional unit group. The pathway has a minimum Total Qualification Time (TQT) of 471 hours.
The awarding body for this qualification is ProQual Awarding Body. The qualification is accredited on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and provides a structured progression route to further qualifications and occupational development within construction, civil engineering, excavation and groundworks.
