The Qualifi Level 5 Extended Diploma in Psychology is a UK-regulated qualification accredited on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), designed to provide learners with broad and structured knowledge across key areas of psychology. The qualification combines Level 4 and Level 5 study and develops understanding of psychological theories, human behaviour, research methods, cognition, development and contemporary psychological issues.

The qualification is designed for learners aged 18 or over and can accommodate applicants with relevant qualifications or, in certain circumstances, substantial experience. For learners whose first language is not English, the specification states IELTS 6 or equivalent as a normal requirement.

Assessment is conducted through written assignments, with learners required to demonstrate the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit. Assignments may draw on real organisational information, case studies, research and workplace opportunities. Work is internally assessed and subject to external moderation and quality assurance by Qualifi.

On completion, learners can progress to a Qualifi Level 6 Diploma, university study towards a first degree, or employment in an associated profession, subject to the requirements of the receiving institution or employer.
