Qualification Structure

The NOCN Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement is an Ofqual-regulated qualification accredited on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). The qualification has a Total Qualification Time (TQT) of 150 hours and 84 Guided Learning Hours (GLH), with 15 credits.

Assessment for the NOCN Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement is assignment-based. Learner work is assessed in accordance with NOCN assessment and quality assurance requirements to ensure that learners demonstrate the required knowledge, understanding and practical application of assessment principles and practices.

To achieve the qualification, learners must successfully complete all three mandatory components.

• Be able to carry out assessments of vocational skills, knowledge and understanding.
• Be able to provide required information following the assessment of vocational skills, knowledge and understanding.
• Be able to maintain legal and good practice requirements when assessing vocational skills, knowledge and understanding.

3. Assess Occupational Competence in the Work Environment

The learner will:

• Be able to plan the assessment of occupational competence.
• Be able to make assessment decisions about occupational competence.
• Be able to provide required information following the assessment of occupational competence.
• Be able to maintain legal and good practice requirements when assessing occupational competence.
