The Qualifi Level 5 Diploma in Psychology is a UK-regulated qualification designed to provide learners with in-depth knowledge and understanding of key areas within psychology. It is accredited to the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and carries the Qualification Accreditation Number 610/2124/6. The qualification is intended to develop learners’ understanding of how psychology is applied to contemporary issues and provide a structured foundation for further academic or professional development.

The diploma comprises 120 credits, with 600 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) and 1,200 Total Qualification Time (TQT). All six Level 5 units are mandatory, covering psychological approaches to depression and schizophrenia; individual differences in intelligence, personality and criminology; visual perception; social psychology and pro- and anti-social behaviour; addiction; and contemporary issues and debates in psychology.

Learners develop knowledge across areas including mental health and psychopathology, cognitive psychology, visual perception, addiction, social psychology, criminological psychology, intelligence, personality, research ethics and contemporary psychological debates. The qualification also encourages analysis of psychological concepts and their relationship with modern society.

Assessment is conducted through written assignments. Assessments are internally marked by an approved centre and subject to external quality assurance by QUALIFI. Learners must demonstrate all required learning outcomes and assessment criteria across the mandatory units to achieve the qualification.

The qualification is designed for learners aged 18 or over, with a Level 4 qualification normally expected for entry. Successful learners can progress to a QUALIFI Level 6 Diploma, university study towards a first degree, or employment in an associated profession, subject to relevant institutional and employer requirements.
